Food doesn’t matter
Ticking death bomb
Individuals falling apart
To keep the species together
Baby boomers could learn
From salmon
Will they be legislating
From death beds?
Machines whirring their ugly songs
Pumping them full
Of expensive whatever
Just to keep the dimming lights on
And the hand signing away our future
Five more miserable minutes alive
At any price
At any cost
If this is how individuals survive
The species’ future is hopelessly lost
